New Ford Co-Pilot360 Takes Safety to the Next Level

New Ford Co-Pilot360

If you’re a Ford fan, you now have another reason to love Ford vehicles. This past March, Ford announced its all-new Ford Co-Pilot360™ safety system, which is “the most advanced suite of standard driver-assist technologies among full-line brands.”

In the next couple of years, Ford’s state-of-the-art safety technology will come standard on 91% of Ford vehicles, including passenger cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks, allowing you to feel calm, collected, and confident while behind the wheel of a Ford vehicle. Ford Co-Pilot360™ is only the beginning of Ford’s commitment to innovative safety technology, as the automaker will invest $500 million in the next five years to further develop driver-assist technology and safety features.

Ford Co-Pilot360™ offers you innovative and advanced safety features that help elevate your overall driving experience. Among the features included are a Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping System, Auto High Beam Lighting, and a convenient rear view camera. This suite of driver-assist technologies offers you comprehensive coverage while on the road.

The Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection monitors the road ahead of you, detecting vehicles and pedestrians in your path and automatically applying the brakes if necessary. At the other end, the Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert monitors the road behind you and on either side of your vehicle, alerting you if there is a vehicle in your blind spot by displaying a backlit icon in your side-view mirror as well as using an audio alert.

Cleaning Tips for Your Car This Spring

Cleaning Tips for Your Car

We’ve all had a long winter, so when spring begins to dawn and flowers begin to bloom, we’re ready to get out, explore the outdoors, and hit the road for some spring trips. Winter is tough on our vehicles, too, so with the arrival of spring, you will want to clean your vehicle, inside and out. Here are some spring cleaning tips for your car that we highly recommend.

  1. Exterior: After months of snow, ice, and salt hitting your car, your car’s exterior has seen better days. Give it a thorough wash and make sure to remove all residual salt, especially from the undercarriage, as salt is a corrosive material. If you’d like, you can use eco-friendly waterless car cleaners. If you’re feeling particularly ambitious once you clean the exterior, you can polish and wax your vehicle to give it a nice shine for spring.

  1. Interior: After months of windows rolled up and salt from your boots soaking into the carpets both the upholstery and carpets could use a thorough cleaning. Perhaps the best way to deep clean the interior is to use a carpet cleaning machine on both the floor of your car and the car’s upholstery. In addition, miscellaneous objects and trash tend to accumulate in your car during the winter, so clear it out and wipe down the car’s surfaces to get it feeling like new. You can even add a “new car smell” air freshener if you’d like!
