Ford Has Made Its 10 Millionth Mustang

This August, Ford celebrated an important milestone: the production of its 10 millionth Mustang. For the past 54 years, the Mustang has been America’s most beloved sports car, establishing a distinctive legacy in the annals of American automotive history. By building the 10 millionth example, Ford further cements that legacy while simultaneously looking ahead to its next chapter.

The 10 millionth Mustang to roll off the assembly line was a 2019 Ford Mustang GT convertible in Wimbledon White, paying homage to the first Mustang pony car. The 2019 Mustang GT features a ferocious V8 engine that delivers 460 horsepower; a precise six-speed manual transmission; and all the modern connectivity, safety, and driver assist technology that drivers desire.

To celebrate this milestone, Ford gathered more than 60 Ford Mustang owners from all model years and assembled them in the parking lot of its Flat Rock Assembly Plant to spell out the number 10,000,000.

Mustang is the heart and soul of this company and a favorite around the world,” said Jim Farley, president of global markets, Ford Motor Company. “I get the same thrill seeing a Mustang roll down a street in Detroit, London or Beijing that I felt when I bought my first car — a 1966 Mustang coupe that I drove across the country as a teenager. Mustang is a smile-maker in any language.”

If your dream has always been to own a Ford Mustang, why not treat yourself? The new 2019 Ford Mustang is arguably the best that’s ever been built, and it’s available at Courtesy Ford.
