The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is already a powerhouse and for the 2017 model year, it’s moving a little closer to a fully-fledged track car. One of the most well-known muscle cars in the world, the 2017 Mustang Shelby GT350 will see a track package become standard equipment. Drivers, start your engines! The 2017 model is right around the corner!
The 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 has an optional track package that ran around $6,500. That’s a good chunk of cold, hard cash, but the 2017 model may eliminate that altogether. There’s no word on whether the price increase will come with it.
While there’s no confirmation from Ford, the report comes from the reliable Mustang6G, a site that’s known for harboring leaked information on new Mustangs before its made public.
If the report is true, MagneRide, an upgraded transmission, and differential cooling would make the Shelby GT350 ready to hit the track from the get-go. While this is good news, the muscle car is closing in on the track-oriented Shelby GT350R.
Only time will tell what Ford has planned for its pony car!
