The 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor arrives with more off-road capability than any previous model. A new round of technology makes its way to this impressive feat of engineering prowess. Tackling rough terrain is exactly what the Ford F-150 Raptor was built for.
The 2019 model year brings plenty of new off-road technologies to the capable Ford F-150 Raptor. The internal by-pass shock absorbers see the addition of a Live Valve system, which allows the shock absorbers to change how firm they are depending on the terrain.
Traveling on uneven terrain is what Live Valve was designed for. In the Ford F-150 Raptor, the system is capable of adjusting up to 13 inches in the front and 13.9 inches in the rear.
On top of its quick adjustments, Live Valve works in part with the existing Terrain Management system. Thanks to this system, the F-150 Raptor can shift from traveling trails to cruising on pavement in no time at all.
Trail Control is another new technology feature arriving in the 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor. This new system acts as a form of low-speed, off-road cruise control. It keeps the truck moving along at speeds between one and 20 mph.
The 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor goes on sale starting later this year, but if you don’t want to wait for it to arrive, you can always come and see the 2018 model today at Courtesy Ford of Sauk City.
